When a wedding ceremony is scheduled for outside in Ohio, anything can happen 🙂 Sunshine, rain, clouds, blue skies, and hail. We’ve seen it all. The amazing thing is how willing a couple can be to live their dream. Anytime it’s come down to the last minute decision to go ahead and challenge the weather, it has always led to some fantastically fun photos.
We will begin this post with one of our most recent weddings at Tartan Fields. About a half hour before Katy and Josh’s ceremony, the storm hit…hail and all! With some last minute decisions made, they decided to have the cocktail hour first. After about 20 minutes, the rain stopped, the staffed cleaned up the chairs, and we all got ready to face the adventure. I shot the ceremony barefooted in the wet grass and mud, the guests had a blast, and most of all, the smiles on Katy and Josh’s face were worth any last minute scrambling!!
